A New Version of Reallusion's Free Auto-Rigging Tool Is Out

Reallusion brings an array of exciting new features to the recently launched AccuRIG 1.3, such as the ability to interact with customized 3D characters via QR code, motion list, atmosphere lighting, and more.

AccuRIG is a user-friendly and efficient application that simplifies character rigging, offering a hassle-free experience for character artists. Its primary focus is on automating and streamlining the rigging process, ultimately reducing production time and effort.

As the developer assures, with five straightforward steps, users can achieve precise and exceptional rigging results for models in various poses, whether they are in A/T/scan poses or feature low/high/multiple meshes. The application not only allows for direct export to all major 3D tools, but it also provides the option to upload the user's rig directly to ActorCore. Users can easily access a wide range of production-ready animations for various purposes like games, films, architectural visualization, digital twins, and more.

In the new AccuRIG 1.3 release, several enhancements to sharing features were introduced. Users can now capture a thumbnail image from a single frame of animation for their actors. Also, Motion List functionality has been expanded, allowing users to add various motions to an actor's motion list, enabling previews when the viewer is shared or embedded into a website.

Renaming of motions and poses (up to 20 characters) is now supported. Additionally, users can save poses from a single frame of animation and add them to the avatar's motion list. To further enhance the actor's presentation, adjustments to the atmosphere lighting and backdrop can be made, creating the desired mood and atmosphere. The default viewing angle and position of the camera can also be adjusted for improved actor presentation. Users now have the ability to tailor the embedded code to their preferences, including toggling the UI overlay, adjusting background transparency, and exploring other customization options. Furthermore, mobile devices can scan a QR code to launch the ActorCore viewer and interact with customized 3D characters.

Another feature added is the introduction of the Material Set. Actors now come in five different color options, providing users with more creative choices. Crowd characters also benefit from this update, as they now come with five different sets of textures, enhancing their visual diversity.

Additionally, AccuRIG functionality has been improved and now updates properly. Also, GLB files of uploaded actors are encrypted as an anti-piracy measure, ensuring the protection of intellectual property.

These updates and fixes in version 1.3 of ActorCore offer users enhanced sharing capabilities, expanded customization options, and improved stability, further enriching the experience of working with 3D characters.
