Playing your favorite computer game while engaging in a therapy session - sounds intriguing, doesn't it? If you have ever struggled with anxiety or signs of depression, you understand the importance of seeking professional help. Perhaps you are interested in discussing your problems with a therapist and a group of people but prefer not to have face-to-face meetings.

Allow me to introduce you to a company called Hero Journey Club. They offer a cool opportunity for players to participate in an activity that combines gaming and therapy. Through therapy sessions, you can share your feelings with a group of people while actively playing games.

The company says that 70% of their members experienced noteworthy relief from anxiety and depression, 96% of players reported feeling better after undergoing an HJC (Hero Journey Club) session, with 70% showed improvement on scientifically validated clinical measures, such as PHQ9 and GAD7, after joining HJC. Additionally, 70% of community members hailed from marginalized communities, and 94% mentioned that they had established some of their most profound connections within the HJC community.

Here are the games that HJC plays: Minecraft, Stardew Valley, Animal Crossing, and Final Fantasy 14 Online, and some reviews from the participants:

"I wish I could put into words how very grateful I am to have gotten an ad for such a lovely group, but I don't think words can even begin to describe it. You have been such a shining light in my life and I am incredibly thankful for all that you guys do," wrote Cody.

"I've been in sessions weekly since June of 2022. HJC has VASTLY improved my mental health, and 1 always feel like I belong there. My journey mates (session group) are some of the most supportive people I've ever met online, and HJC's journey guides (facilitators) are always so kind and compassionate toward me and everyone else! This is hands down the most welcoming and safe space I have ever been in," said Emily.
